Executive and Senior Management
Milton Cooper Executive Chairman
Milton Cooper is the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Company. Mr. Cooper served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Company from November 1991 to December 2009. In addition, Mr. Cooper was Director and President of the Company for more than five years prior to November 1991. In 1958, Mr. Cooper, along with a partner, founded the Company’s predecessor. Mr. Cooper led the Company through its IPO and growth over the past five decades. In addition, Mr. Cooper received a National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (“NAREIT”) Industry Leadership Award for his significant and lasting contributions to the REIT industry. Mr. Cooper is also a director at Getty Realty Corporation. Mr. Cooper graduated from City College in New York and Brooklyn Law School.
David B. Henry Vice Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer
David B. Henry was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company in November 2009 and continues as President, a position he assumed in November 2008. He has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors since May of 2001. In his current role, Mr. Henry is responsible for the overall strategic execution of the Company. Mr. Henry joined Kimco Realty Corporation after 23 years at General Electric where he was Chief Investment Officer/Senior Vice President of GE Capital Real Estate, Chairman of GE Capital Investment Advisors as well as responsible for helping manage real estate investments totaling more than $20.0 billion in 11 countries worldwide.
Glenn Gary Cohen Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer
Glenn G. Cohen was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of the Company in June 2010, and continues as Treasurer, a position he has held since 1997. Mr. Cohen directs the Company’s financial and capital strategy and oversees the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting and planning, tax, treasury and capital market activities. In addition, Mr. Cohen oversees the Information Technology group for the Company.
Prior to joining Kimco in 1995 as Director of Accounting and Taxation, Mr. Cohen served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for U.S. Balloon Manufacturing Company, Chief Financial Officer for EMCO Sales and Service, L.P. and six years at the public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand, LLP (predecessor to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP), where he served as a manager in the audit group. Mr. Cohen is a native Long Islander, received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany in 1985 and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Conor Flynn was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Company in May 2013. Mr. Flynn directs the strategic and day-to-day activities of the Company's shopping center business. Prior to his current role, Mr. Flynn was President of the Western Region responsible for directing personnel that handled leasing, property management, construction, asset management and value creation. Mr. Flynn joined Kimco Realty in June 2003 as an Asset Manager and rose through the ranks to his current role of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Flynn received a B.S. degree from Yale University and a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Mr. Flynn is a licensed real estate broker in California, and a member of National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Scott G. Onufrey Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Investment Management
Scott G. Onufrey is Managing Director of Kimco Realty Advisors and a Vice President of Kimco Realty Corporation. Mr. Onufrey’s responsibilities include leadership for portfolio and asset management activities in Kimco’s investment management business, relationship management and new business development. Prior to his current role, Mr. Onufrey served as the Investor Relations Officer for Kimco since 1999. From 1995 through 1999, Mr. Onufrey was a Vice President responsible for client portfolio management and portfolio controller in JP Morgan Investment Management’s real estate advisory business. Mr. Onufrey began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1992 in their real estate practice. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The State University of New York College at Old Westbury.
Bruce Rubenstein Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary
Bruce Rubenstein joined Kimco Realty Corporation in March 1998 as a senior attorney, and currently serves as Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Rubenstein is responsible for overseeing and managing Kimco’s legal affairs, its in-house legal department and outside counsel. Prior to joining Kimco, Mr. Rubenstein served as General Counsel to AVR Realty Company, a diverse real estate company based in Yonkers, New York. He also practiced law at the law firms of Weinberg and Green in Baltimore, Maryland, Delson and Gordon and at Robinson, Silverman, Pearce, Aronsohn and Berman, both in New York City. Mr. Rubenstein graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1978 with a degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law along with a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy school of Government, both in 1982. Mr. Rubenstein received an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1998.
Robert Nadler President, Central Region
Robert Nadler joined Kimco Realty in June 1998 and has served as President of the Central Region since 2001. Mr. Nadler has 30 years of shopping center experience and oversees a portfolio of 163 properties, approximately 23 million square feet spanning from Texas to Minnesota. In this capacity, Mr. Nadler is responsible for the strategic planning and execution for the Central Region portfolio, including leasing, property management and redevelopment. Additionally, Mr. Nadler directs the national retailer portfolio team which holds in excess of 100 retailer meetings or reviews each year. Prior to joining Kimco, Mr. Nadler served as Senior Vice President, LaSalle Partners, Executive Vice President/National Director of Leasing, JMB Retail Properties and Managing Director, JMB Institutional Realty. Mr. Nadler received a B.S. and a B.A. degree from the University of Denver in 1980. He is an active member of ICSC and resides in suburban Chicago.
Paul D. Puma President, Southern Region
Paul D. Puma joined Kimco Realty in February 2005 and currently serves as the President of the Southeast and Florida Regions. Mr. Puma oversees a combined portfolio of 137 shopping centers, approximately 22 million square feet, located throughout eight Southeastern states and Puerto Rico. In this capacity, Mr. Puma is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of a comprehensive plan for the Southeast and Florida portfolios which include leasing, property management, NOI growth, redevelopment, acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Puma has over 30 years of shopping center experience and prior to joining Kimco, served as Vice President of Peripheral Development for The Mills Corporation and Sales / Leasing Director for The Rouse Company. Mr. Puma received a Bachelor of Science degree from West Chester State University in 1978.
Wilbur "Tom" Simmons President, Mid-Atlantic Region
Wilbur “Tom” Simmons has been the President of Kimco’s Mid-Atlantic Shopping Center Region since 2004. Mr. Simmons is responsible for overseeing Asset Management, Leasing, Property Management, Development and Redevelopment in the Mid-Atlantic which consist of over 15.2 million square feet in 152 properties in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Prior to joining Kimco, Mr. Simmons was a Vice President of Acquisitions and Development with Mid-Atlantic Realty Trust where he was employed for over 12 years. Mr. Simmons holds a Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College and a Master of Science in Real Estate from The Johns Hopkins University.
Armand Vasquez President, Western Region
Armand Vasquez joined Kimco Realty in 2001 and currently serves as President of the Western Region. Mr. Vasquez oversees 188 shopping centers in the Northwest and Southwest portfolios, consisting of over 31 million square feet in 11 western states. In this capacity, Mr. Vasquez is responsible for strategic planning, acquisitions, asset management, dispositions, leasing, property management and redevelopment. Mr. Vasquez has over 23 years of shopping center experience, which includes 20 years in the Retail REIT sector. Prior to his current position, Mr. Vasquez was the Vice President of Leasing for Kimco’s Northwest Region and held previous positions as a Leasing Director for Pan Pacific Retail Properties and Senior Development Manager for Western Properties Trust. Mr. Vasquez holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University, Sacramento.
Joshua Weinkranz President, Northeast Region
Joshua Weinkranz joined Kimco Realty in 1998 and currently serves as President of the Northeast Region. Mr. Weinkranz presently oversees a portfolio of 99 properties consisting of approximately 12.6 million square feet located throughout seven northeast states from New Jersey to Maine. In this position, Mr. Weinkranz is primarily responsible for the strategic planning and execution of a comprehensive plan for the Northeast portfolio which includes asset management, leasing, property management, redevelopment, acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Weinkranz has over 18 years of shopping center experience. Prior to his current position, he served as the Vice President of Leasing for Kimco’s Northeast Region and as Director of Real Estate for Rosen Associates Management Corporation. Mr. Weinkranz received a bachelor of science and a bachelor of arts from Boston University and holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University. He is a licensed real estate broker in NY, NJ, CT and MA.
Mike Melson Managing Director, Latin America Operations
Mike Melson is Managing Director of Kimco’s Latin America Operations and assumed this position in December 2007. Fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, Mr. Melson oversees Kimco’s Latin American portfolio comprised of 61 retail properties in Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Peru. Prior to joining Kimco, he was President of Latin American Real Estate Advisors, an investment advisory firm he founded after working at GE Real Estate for 8 years in Mexico, Brazil and the U.S. Mr. Melson began his career as a Project Manager in the Mexico City office of LaSalle Partners (now Jones Lang LaSalle). He holds a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Claremont McKenna College.
Kelly Smith Managing Director, Canadian Operations
Kelly Smith is Managing Director of Kimco’s Canadian Operations, and assumed this position in January 2010. An experienced real estate professional, Ms. Smith oversees Kimco’s Canadian portfolio comprised of interests in approximately 13 million square feet of retail property across the country. Prior to joining Kimco in 2008, she was Managing Director of Capmark Canada Limited. At Capmark, Ms. Smith built and managed the company’s Canadian commercial lending operations, originating over $2B in commercial mortgages and managing three Canadian offices. Over the course of her career, she has been a Portfolio Manager at North American Trust and founded and operated a successful mortgage brokerage in Toronto. Ms. Smith holds an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.
James J. Bruin Vice President, Portfolio and Risk Management
James J. Bruin is Vice President, Portfolio and Risk Management at Kimco Realty Corporation. In this role, Mr. Bruin oversees the company’s institutional joint venture program, responsible for partner and lender relationship management. Mr. Bruin also leads Kimco’s underwriting function, conducting risk assessments and due diligence on all property acquisitions for the company. Prior to joining Kimco in 2008 as Director of Portfolio Management, he spent 13 years at GE Capital Real Estate as a Portfolio Manager specializing in joint ventures, troubled debt restructures, and debt and equity real estate across multi-family, retail and medical office products. Mr. Bruin has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a certified public accountant (CPA). He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM).
David F. Bujnicki Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications
David F. Bujnicki, Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications for Kimco Realty Corporation, joined the company in 2003 as Manager of Accounting and Reporting, and served as Director of Corporate Finance, Planning, and Analysis. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Investor Relations. Prior to joining Kimco, Mr. Bujnicki spent four years at KPMG, LLP, and five years at Suffolk County National Bank, working in the commercial loan and audit departments. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI). Mr. Bujnicki holds a B.A. in finance and economics from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and a Master's degree in accounting from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.
Leah Landro Vice President, Human Resources
Leah Landro, Vice President of Human Resources, joined the company in February of 2008. In her position, Ms. Landro is responsible for the company’s human resources strategy and execution including employment planning and selection, executive and staff compensation programs and systems, employee benefit programs, organizational development and training, employee relations, and affirmative action program activities. Prior to joining Kimco, Ms. Landro held the top executive human resources positions at CMP Media LLC and Delta Financial Corporation. Ms. Landro holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from NYIT and an M.B.A. from Long Island University.
Thomas R. Taddeo Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Thomas R. Taddeo, Vice President and Chief Information Officer is responsible for the overall technology strategy, systems and infrastructure which support Kimco’s global business operations. Mr. Taddeo also directs the implementation of enterprise initiatives that leverage technology to improve organizational efficiency and productivity. Prior to joining Kimco, Mr. Taddeo was a Senior Manager at Deloitte in their Real Estate Consulting Practice. Mr. Taddeo holds a Bachelor of Science and a Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
Paul Westbrook Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer
Paul Westbrook is Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Kimco Realty Corporation. Mr. Westbrook’s responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting and SEC compliance. Mr. Westbrook joined Kimco in October 2002 as Director of Accounting and prior to his current role, he was Vice President of Financial Reporting. Prior to joining Kimco, Mr. Westbrook was with the public accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he served as a Senior Manager in the firm’s New York Real Estate Assurance Practice. Mr. Westbrook is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The State University of New York College at Old Westbury.
