Demolition will begin on the Dania Beach Hurricane, once the largest wooden roller coaster in Florida. A volley of confetti canons will signal the “disassembly” at the ceremony, featuring local officials and Florida Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera. The ceremony will celebrate the history of the former amusement center as well as the new mixed-use development known as Dania Pointe. | |
| Invited guests will walk a red carpet to the Dania Beach Hurricane where they can capture the last photos beneath the intricate framework of the historic rollercoaster before it is dismantled plank by plank. | ||
